BULL DOG - Original Face Wash

Currently I have been using BullDog's Original Face Wash to cleanse my face in the mornings and evenings. If you are anything like me - then you probably don't have a regular (or even an existing) skin care routine. It was only until my recent trip to Australia (My Aunty runs and owns her own Beauty Academy - free massages and facials - #winning) that I discovered how crucially important it is to look after your skin.

My usual routine would be - wake up - splash face with water - done. (I'm an evening shower human - don't judge) In the evenings I would shower and wash my face with whatever I was washing my body with. Throughout the day my skin would look oiler and oiler - I put all this down to the moisturiser I was using, so I then went and bought products targeted at Oily Skin. After getting out the shower my skin would feel generally tight and itchy - and after about an hour or so my skin would feel greasy again. It was an endless cycle and the products just weren't working!

Whilst in Australia I kept badgering my Aunty and asking her what products she would recommend for people with oily skin. She examined my skin and informed me that, in fact, I did not have oily skin - I had combination skin. Therefore, the oil combating products I was putting on my face was actually drying my skin out and forcing the skin to produce more oil! She asked me what my skin care routine was like (it was met with a blank face from me - I didn't have one) and what I washed my face with. I told her - anything I'm washing my body with. After a clip round the ear - she told me that the most important thing to do in skin care is to cleanse your face. The products I was using were too harsh for my face - stripping the skin of the natural oils and as result - causing my face to produce more oil that it had been stripped of!

Washing your face twice a day with a wash that is specifically designed for your face, not only cleanses the skin effectively and gently, it also balances the skin's PH level - normalising oil production and unblocking pores. Finally! A solution to my skin problems! After following this routine for two weeks my skin felt less tight and less oily. Gone was the feeling of wanting to disinfect my face at the end of the day because it was so greasy. The face wash had normalised my sebum production and kept pimples and blocked pores at bay!

Since then I have return back to the UK and kept up my simple skin care routine. Recently I have been loving this face wash from Bull Dog.
