DREAM BIG

Everyone strives to be the best. Everyone wants to be successful at the things they do - whether you admit it or not, you want the same. And that is nothing to be ashamed of. Its something to cherish. It makes you a hard working human - it can also inspire and encourage others.

However it can also attract a lot of negative others - people who find it hard to let others aspire to reach certain goals, realistic or not. Don't be like those people. Those people enjoy putting people down - they enjoy seeing others fail. And that may be because of a lot of reasons - personal reasons - it is just their make up.

Don't let other people's opinions get in the way and/or affect your goals. So long as your aspirations are aiming to positively impact on yours and other people's lives - why not just go for it! (If your aspiration is a negative one, such as stealing money from elderly people - then yeah, listen to the negative feedback. Chances are those people are trying to stop you from becoming an arse!)

For most of us we live our lives governed by what other people might think of us. If you continue to live your life this way you will never grow - you will never feel complete.

I have finally changed the way I think and I encourage you to do the same. For a good 8 years I let other people's opinions rule the way I lived my life. I worried about how I would be perceived if I decided to do something, or wear something or even say something.

Now at the age of 29 I finally feel confident to stand by my own decisions and choices. I finally said to myself: 'stop living your life how other people want you to live your life. Just start living!'. The only person suffering was myself. The only person unhappy was myself. Thankfully for me my girlfriend, Samantha, came into my life and was a huge positive influence. She taught me how to laugh again. She taught me to smile. She taught me to be confident. And she reminded me what it was to love again. I owe nearly all of my happiness to her and I am so grateful for all the joy she brings me in my life. I hope you are able to find your own 'Sam' - If you have one already - don't let her or him go! Keep them forever. Most of what I have achieved in almost a year of being together, would not have been possible without my best friend, my partner in crime, my rock, my soulmate.

Think positively - you can do whatever you want to do if you put your mind to it. Be brave - believe in yourself and surround yourself with positive, encouraging humans! "You got dis" - now go out and get it!

Short and sweet this week - I hope this is a positive slap in the face and that you manage to be creative and proactive from it!
